I've grown shitake mushrooms with past kits and this was my first try with chestnut mushrooms. Very easy to grow at home with minimal care. Chestnuts are delicious! Highly recommended.
It was awesome. As silly as it is to be walked through all those steps it was very useful and I came away with my first inoculated log. Also the tour was much more interesting than I expected. Thanks. I'll be back if I need more dowels!

Shiitake kit was easy to grow. Massive mushrooms and lots of them. The shiitakes had hint of truffle flavor in them. Incredibly good shrooms!
This workshop was informative, helpful and a perfect combination of hands-on and demonstrations. Julia is very knowledgeable and passionate about mushrooms and that shined through the entire session.

I have hated mushrooms my whole life and when I discovered the taste and consistency of these mushrooms, I discovered I actually love them! They made for an incredible chicken marsala!!
